Four people died and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash near Cedar Hill in Jefferson County, Missouri, on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The collision occurred at the intersection of Route 30 and Gravois Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 68-year-old driver in an SUV crossed into opposing traffic and struck two cars. The SUV driver and two women riding in that vehicle, ages 62 and 40, died in the crash.
One of the cars carried two 24-year-old men. The driver suffered serious injuries, and the passenger died. Pam Kary Webb identified the passenger as her son, Chase Austin Webb. She said he had been riding with a friend who was driving the car.
A 33-year-old man and a 5-year-old boy were in the third vehicle. Both sustained minor injuries, according to the patrol.
Webb’s mother remembered her son as a compassionate person who cared about others and tried to make them happy. She spoke about wanting others to understand his kindness and how much he was loved.
She said a Highway Patrol trooper contacted her early Sunday morning and requested an in-person conversation. At the time, she was about an hour away from her home in House Springs.
Nearby resident Kathryn White described hearing two loud sounds in quick succession. She said she initially thought the first sound might have been a firework, but its volume and the second sound led her to recognize that a crash had occurred nearby.
