Christopher Caserta, 53, of Spring City in Chester County, was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Interstate 476 North in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, according to State Police.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 6:35 p.m. on the Blue Route. In their preliminary account, State Police said Caserta lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle during a lane change.
Caserta was still on the motorcycle when it tipped onto its side. The motorcycle then slid approximately 150 feet before hitting a guardrail. It stopped in the left lane, where Caserta was found. Emergency personnel provided aid at the scene.
A witness told State Police that the motorcyclist had been speeding and weaving through traffic before the crash. Those observations were reported by the witness, rather than established as a final determination of what caused the collision.
The crash closed I-476 North for several hours.
Caserta worked in construction and was the father of four children. His obituary described his enthusiasm for motorcycles and skateboarding. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and his dog. A fundraising campaign was established to support his children and help with funeral expenses.
After a fatal motorcycle crash in Radnor Township, families may need the police crash report, insurance correspondence and related records. A qualified Pennsylvania attorney can explain how those documents may relate to insurance questions and applicable filing deadlines.
