A fatal head-on crash on County Road 42 in Marion County left one person dead and three others injured Wednesday afternoon, while also damaging a third vehicle, according to authorities.

Authorities said the sedan's driver, a 30-year-old man from Leesburg, died at the scene. A 27-year-old woman from Eustis who was riding in the sedan suffered life-threatening injuries.
