A fatal two vehicle crash was reported Thursday afternoon at County Road 535 and Buena Vista Drive in Orange County.
Authorities said a 2020 Ford Escape was traveling east on County Road 535 as it approached the intersection. A 2011 Honda Accord was stopped at a traffic signal, also facing east, when the Escape struck the rear left side of the Accord.
After the initial impact, the Escape continued east and hit a light pole. The driver of the Escape was taken to Dr. Phillips Hospital, where the person was later pronounced dead. No name or age had been released in the reports available Friday. The driver of the Accord remained at the scene.
