A fatal crash at the intersection of New Warrington Road and Twin Oaks Drive in Escambia County left one man dead and two other people seriously hurt Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Investigators said the collision was reported at about 5:15 p.m. and involved a moped and a motorcycle. Based on preliminary information, a 35-year-old Pensacola man riding the moped was attempting to cross New Warrington Road when the moped collided with the motorcycle at the intersection.
The moped rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said a 34-year-old woman from Mobile who was a passenger on the moped suffered serious injuries. The motorcycle rider, a 37-year-old man from San Antonio, also sustained serious injuries.
