A 63-year-old Tallahassee man died Sunday evening after a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan near the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Conner Boulevard in eastern Tallahassee.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 7:38 p.m. on August 30. Preliminary information indicates the sedan was traveling eastbound in the east turn lane on Apalachee Parkway, while the motorcycle was traveling westbound in the outside lane on the same road. The two vehicles then collided head-on.
The motorcyclist was taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the sedan, a 41-year-old Tallahassee man, was not injured.
The crash shut down the intersection for a time Sunday night as investigators worked at the scene. Authorities have described the case as an active investigation, and no further official findings were included in the available information.
