Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Frontage Road South in Lakeland, FL on June 03, 2026

Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Wednesday night in Lakeland along the 4000 block of Frontage Road South.

A 24-year-old Lakeland man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle near the exit lane from Commerce Park when the crash occurred, according to authorities. Deputies said first responders were called to the scene shortly before 7:45 p.m.

Early information indicates the motorcycle was leaving a parking lot and entering the exit lane when it made slight contact with the rear of a semi-truck trailer. Investigators said the semi-truck was stopped in the exit lane while waiting to enter Frontage Road South.

Although the initial impact was described as minor, authorities said the rider lost control after the contact. The motorcycle and rider then struck a nearby curb. The rider was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
