A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on Georgia 9 near Bannister Road in Dawson County on October 25, 2026. The state patrol said a northbound SUV struck the motorcycle from behind, pushing it into a minivan. Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene.

Alfed Harris Moss, 50, of Grayson, died in a motorcycle crash involving an SUV and a minivan on Georgia 9 near Bannister Road in Dawson County, Georgia, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The state patrol said the collision occurred at about 3:45 p.m.

Investigators said an SUV driven by Martin Gomez Gonzalez, 18, of Gainesville, was traveling north on Georgia 9 when it struck the rear of Moss’s motorcycle.

The impact threw Moss from the motorcycle. The bike became lodged in the SUV’s grille and front bumper and was pushed into a minivan ahead of it.

Gonzalez and a person identified only by the surname Green suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were treated at the scene.

Charges were pending following the crash.
