Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian early Wednesday morning on John Young Parkway near Oak Ridge Road in Orlando. Reports indicate the collision happened around 4:20 to 4:30 a.m. on May 20, 2026, on the northbound side of John Young Parkway south of Oak Ridge Road.

According to authorities, a sedan traveling north struck a male pedestrian in the roadway. The man was not in a marked crosswalk when he was hit, based on the information released so far. He died at the scene, and his identity had not yet been publicly released as officials worked to identify him and notify next of kin.

Investigators said the driver did not remain at the scene. Authorities are also looking into whether additional vehicles may have been involved or may have been in the area at the time. Reports have described a dark gray Kia K5 as the primary vehicle of interest, and investigators have also sought information about a white Honda Civic, a dark gray Kia Soul, and a semi-truck.
