The driver of a sedan and an AAA Landscape employee died in a crash involving two landscaping trucks and the sedan on State Route 77 near Wilds Road in Arizona on Monday, October 26, 2026. Two other AAA Landscape employees were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the collision happened after 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes at milepost 85. The sedan ended up underneath one of the trucks.
DPS reported the deaths and hospitalizations, while AAA Landscape confirmed that one employee had died and two employees were injured. No names or ages were provided for those involved.
AAA Landscape said its crew was traveling to a job site when the crash occurred. The company said it would withhold further details out of respect for the employees and their families.
Southbound State Route 77 was closed Monday afternoon between East Wild Road and East Golder Ranch Drive as authorities investigated. The Pima County Sheriff's Department assisted DPS at the scene.
