Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday night along US 27 south of Belle Glade, near the Holey Land Wildlife Management Area in Palm Beach County. Reports indicate 65-year-old Oscar Vidal Arroliga of Hialeah Gardens died after his pickup collided with the rear of a parked semitruck on the shoulder.
The crash scene was identified as 16100 S. US 27. Investigators said Arroliga was driving a 2006 Nissan southbound when, for reasons that have not been publicly explained, the vehicle moved onto the west shoulder and struck the rear trailer of a parked 2006 Volvo semitruck.
