The collision involved a Kia Soul and a motorcycle at Highway 96 and Butten Drive around 4 p.m. Waller was taken by ambulance to Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

James Edward Waller Jr., 73, of Perry, died after a motorcycle crash at Highway 96 and Butten Drive in Houston County, Georgia, on Friday, October 23, 2026, according to authorities.

Houston County Sheriff Matt Moulton said the collision happened around 4 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and a Kia Soul.

Waller, who was driving the motorcycle, was taken by ambulance to Emory Healthcare in Warner Robins. Houston County Coroner James Williams confirmed that Waller was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Moulton urged drivers traveling through the area to use caution and be prepared to stop for emergency personnel.
