An SUV left the road and crashed into the patio of the Moderne in Orlando, Florida, at about 4 a.m. on October 25, 2026. No injuries were reported, and no customers or bar employees were on the patio when the crash occurred.
The SUV struck a cement planter, the patio railing, several tables and approximately 20 seats. The supplied information did not identify the roadway where the vehicle left traffic.
Stephanie Oropeza and her fiancé, Dragan Nesic, were returning from a Halloween party when they witnessed the crash. The couple pulled over to help, and Oropeza called 911.
Video shared by the bar showed Oropeza making the emergency call while still wearing a banana costume from the party. Oropeza, who is studying to become a nurse, said she wanted to call for help and check on the driver.
Employees at the Moderne said they wanted to offer Oropeza dinner as a thank-you for stopping to assist. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
