Samuel McDaniel, 31, suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Shannon County, Missouri, early Sunday, October 25, 2026.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened at 12:30 a.m. on County Road 427, about four miles southeast of Summersville. McDaniel was driving a 2008 Kia Sedona northbound when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

Mercy Life Line airlifted McDaniel to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The detailed crash account described his injuries as moderate.

The Patrol also reported arresting McDaniel following the crash for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and failing to drive on the right half of the road, resulting in a crash. Authorities said he was released to Mercy EMS for medical care.
