A 73-year-old Crystal Beach woman suffered serious injuries in a four-vehicle crash at US-19 and Oak Avenue in Pinellas County on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Emergency personnel airlifted her to a local hospital following the collision, which occurred around 4:35 p.m.
According to state troopers, the woman was driving a Lexus RX west on Oak Avenue. While crossing the northbound lanes of US-19, she turned north into the path of a Hyundai Tucson. The northbound Tucson, driven by a 57-year-old Port Richey man, struck the Lexus in the intersection.
After that collision, the Hyundai stopped on the east shoulder of US-19. The Lexus spun, crossed the median and entered the highway's southbound lanes, where two more vehicles became involved.
The Lexus collided with a Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer. A 27-year-old Tampa man was driving the pickup. The Lexus then struck an Amazon delivery van driven by a 27-year-old Tarpon Springs man.
Troopers reported that the drivers of the Hyundai, Silverado and delivery van were not injured. Authorities had not released the names of any of the four drivers.
