Tara David, 57, of Nanticoke, was pronounced dead at the scene of a pedestrian crash on Route 315 in Plains Township, Luzerne County. The death was reported October 26, 2026. The coroner classified the death as accidental. Route 315 reopened after a closure in both directions.

Luzerne County Coroner Dion Fernandes confirmed that Tara David, 57, of Nanticoke, was pronounced dead at the scene of a pedestrian crash on Route 315 in Plains Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The death was reported October 26, 2026.

The crash occurred near Mohegan Pennsylvania, in front of Dairy Queen. The coroner was called to the scene at approximately 7 a.m.

Fernandes determined the cause of death to be multiple traumatic injuries and classified the death as accidental. He said no autopsy was scheduled.

Route 315 was closed in both directions following the crash. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation later reported that the road had reopened.
