A 58-year-old Easton man, Winthorpe Wilson, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle tractor-trailer rollover accident in Hamilton Township, Monroe County. The accident occurred just before 9 a.m. on a Saturday morning as Wilson was traveling south on Route 33. Authorities reported that he lost control of his truck while navigating a right curve on the highway. The Pennsylvania State Police stated that Wilson's vehicle veered out of its designated lane into the left southbound lane before attempting to return to the right lane, which ultimately resulted in the rollover.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner’s Office at approximately 10:25 a.m. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and an autopsy has been scheduled for November 12, which may provide further insights into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
