Fatal Car Accident at Sherwood Road and M-52 in Locke Township, MI, on October 29, 2026

A three-car crash killed a 53-year-old Fowlerville man around noon on October 29, 2026. The collision occurred at the intersection of Sherwood Road and M-52, also known as Perry Road, in Locke Township in Michigan’s Ingham County.

The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said the Fowlerville man was traveling east along Sherwood Road. As he crossed M-52, his vehicle was struck by a car being driven by a 24-year-old man from Bancroft. The impact was followed by a collision involving a third vehicle: the Fowlerville man’s car then struck a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Lapeer woman.

The Fowlerville man died at the scene of the crash, authorities said. His name had not been released. Everyone else involved was taken to local hospitals, where they received treatment for injuries authorities described as non-life-threatening.

The crash investigation required the roadway to be closed for approximately four hours. The sheriff’s office received assistance at the scene from the Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team. The information released by authorities did not specify what led to the initial collision at the Locke Township intersection.
