A fatal three-car hit-and-run occurred on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend, Brooklyn, just after midnight on Monday, October 5, 2026, according to police. The collision happened between Avenue R and Avenue S. Investigators said an Audi sedan heading south lost control and struck the rear of a Toyota Camry. The impact caused the Camry to spin and collide with a Toyota RAV4. The 62-year-old Camry driver died at a hospital, police said. A 39-year-old woman riding in the Camry's back seat was hospitalized with injuries to her back and neck. The RAV4 driver was treated at the scene. Both the Camry and the RAV4 had Taxi and Limousine Commission plates. Security footage showed at least one of the vehicles striking a large structure before coming to a stop. Law enforcement sources said the Audi driver removed the car's license plates before driving away from the crash site. Police were searching for that driver in the hours following the collision. Both directions of Ocean Parkway were closed throughout Monday morning following the crash.
