Kentucky State Police responded to a tragic two-vehicle crash on Friday evening, February 14, near the 5200 block of South Dixie Highway in Horse Cave. Authorities received a call shortly before 6 p.m. reporting a major accident. Following a preliminary investigation, officials determined that a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 76-year-old James Rice of Munfordville, was traveling northbound on U.S. 31-W when it crossed the centerline into the southbound lane. It collided with a 2000 Toyota Tundra, driven by 64-year-old David Bradley, also of Munfordville.
The collision had devastating consequences. James Rice was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner, while David Bradley sustained serious injuries. Bradley was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for further medical treatment. Authorities have not disclosed details about Bradley's current condition at this time. The incident remains under investigation and is being led by Trooper Landon Key.
